The Old Apps section of PhoneArchives is dedicated to preserving the software that powered early mobile phones long before modern app stores existed. During the 2000s and early 2010s, millions of users relied on Java and J2ME applications for entertainment, communication, productivity, and everyday tasks.
Many of these applications have disappeared from the modern web, and the devices that originally ran them are no longer supported. PhoneArchives aims to restore access to these files by collecting, organising, and documenting them in a clean and accessible format.
This section will continue to grow as more apps are recovered and added. Our long‑term goal is to build one of the largest public collections of Java/J2ME mobile software available online.
